NOTICE OF MEETING - ANNUAL GENERALE

Coop Santé St-Adolphe et Morin-Heights

Dear,

Members of the Cooperative,

We are pleased to warmly thank all the collaborators of the Health Cooperative (members, staff, doctors, tenants and private and public donors). Without a doubt, the success of our cooperative is the result of magnificent teamwork!

Our Coop has stayed the course again this year and continues its development!

We have had a year full of emotions and changes from which a whole new administrative team was born, ready to take on the many challenges that the public health network puts in our path. We have also been able to adapt to new technologies that allow us to be a modern and competitive medical clinic in our region.

The year 2022-2023 ended on June 30. This is the time, for the administrators and myself, to present to you the goods and bads of the past year.

You are invited to the annual general meeting which will take place on Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Mont Avalanche in St-Adolphe-d’Howard. You will find the notice of meeting attached.

Two administrator positions are open this year and two administrators will be up for election. A profile with legal knowledge, communication or community event organization would be a good addition to our team.

Please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of our best regards.

Presentation letter

Hello, I am an osteopath, graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal (CEOM, 2003). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Laval University (1992). My osteopathic clientele is very diverse but I have a particular interest in pregnant women and newborn care. I also have a specialization in the field of jaw disorders (TMJ).

My activity for more than 20 years in the Montreal area has allowed me to acquire a solid and diverse experience. I am always on the lookout for new knowledge and I regularly participate in post-graduate training.

I strongly believe in the multidisciplinary approach and I do not hesitate to refer when the problem requires a specific medical assessment and/or the contribution of another complementary discipline (acupuncture, naturopathy, etc.). My sensitive and rigorous approach aims for the fastest possible recovery of the client in a personalized and professional approach.

I join the Morin-Heights health cooperative in order to provide my care to the people of the region and to bring an alternative and complementary approach to the team of professionals of the cooperative.

It will be a pleasure to meet you!

What is sports medicine?

A branch of medicine dedicated to physical activity

Sports medicine is a type of medicine that mainly deals with the medical aspects that are related to the practice of sport. Thus, it aims to improve the well-being and overall health of an individual practicing sport. The sports doctor is then responsible for diagnosing, recognizing and treating sports-related injuries and making recommendations to his patients to improve their physical performance.

However, sports medicine is not just limited to the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries but also includes their prevention and encourages sports participation by promoting sports-related well-being.

It caters to all types of athletes, from competitive athletes to casual athletes, and supports a variety of issues. While top-level athletes often use it more because of their intensive training, a recreational athlete or person wishing to receive advice on how to get back to practicing a sport can also visit a sports and sports doctor. 'exercise.

Specially trained doctors

The sports and exercise doctor is a professional who has additional training in sports. He has specific knowledge related to sport and the necessary know-how to provide appropriate care.

The sports and exercise physician is generally familiar with a wide variety of different sports disciplines and the practices associated with these sports. This knowledge thus allows him to be able to establish a diagnosis of sports injuries but also to offer the best treatment.

The sports and exercise doctor can also help athletes who simply want to improve their performance

Prevent possible injuries

The role of the sports doctor is not only to heal any sports-related injury or illness but also to prevent them. For this, he shares his recommendations concerning the practice of sport, both in terms of a diet adapted to the discipline and in terms of warming up and practicing the sport itself.

For a less athletic person who wishes to start or resume the practice of a sport, the sports doctor can make useful recommendations regarding the training to be followed to prevent any injury or injury in these novice or beginner athletes.
