The Morin-Heights Health Coop Will Expand and Relocate

Morin-Heights, June 8th, 2026 – The Morin-Heights Health Coop clinic is getting a fresh new look and doubling its square footage to better serve its members and the surrounding community. The clinic will be relocated to the corner of Route 364 and Chemin du Village, with the move scheduled for winter 2027.

At a time when health and social service needs are critical in the Laurentians, the Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard Health Coop in Morin-Heights—which has been providing local services to the surrounding community for over 10 years—will relocate and expand its facilities to meet the growing needs of the population.

This project is made possible thanks to three major grants: $350,000 from the Regional Economic Development Minister Delegate’s Collective Entrepreneurship Capital Investment Program (PIEC), $50,000 from the Fondation médicale des Laurentides, and $20,000 from Desjardins’ Community Development Fund. Financements from the Fiducie du Chantier de l’économie sociale, Investissement Québec, and the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut complete the financing package.

These new facilities will allow us to ensure the development and long-term sustainability of our organization for years to come," explained Didier Huysecom, President of the Health Coop’s Board of Directors.

The clinic will be located on the second floor of the Morin-Heights Familiprix pharmacy. The pharmacist-owners are long-standing partners of the Health Coop, as the Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard clinic is already established on the second floor of their branch in that municipality.

These new spaces, designed to meet modern practice needs, combined with the commitment of the project's various partners, will provide the Health Coop with an environment conducive to its growth and service expansion. Backed by over 25 years of community presence and a close relationship with its clientele, the pharmacy will continue to innovate and collaborate with the Health Coop to offer personalized, high-quality services to its customers.", explained Valérie Barrette-Mayrand, co-owner’s pharmacist.

The Health Coop is a well-established organization that has been active in the region for twenty years. The Morin-Heights clinic opened its doors in January 2016, ten years after the Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard location. Since then, both facilities have seen their activities grow alongside regional development and community needs. Today, the Saint-Adolphe and Morin-Heights Health Coop medical team includes ten family doctors, one psychiatrist, one sports medicine specialist, five specialized nurse practitioners, seven clinical nurses, four social workers, one physiotherapist, one sexologist, one acupuncturist, one orthotist, and two osteopaths. The Coop also employs a full-time administrative team of seven local residents.

The grand opening of the new facilities is scheduled for winter 2027.
