Cognitive desorders, memory and Alzheimer

Many have asked us to hold a conference on cognitive disorders, memory and Alzheimer's. And there you have it on January, the Alzheimer's month!
 
We have brought together Dr Marc Paquin, doctor at the Coop santé and specialist in cognitive disorders and memory disorders, as well as the Alzheimer's Society of the Laurentides to inform you on the subject in a more complete way. A question period will be offered at the end of the presentation.

Members of the Cooperative,

We are pleased to warmly thank all the collaborators of the Health Cooperative (members, staff, doctors, tenants and private and public donors). Without a doubt, the success of our cooperative is the result of magnificent teamwork!

This past year, we had the pleasure of welcoming three new health professionals. More than 774 people were assigned to a family doctor thanks to the work of your Coop santé!

We worked hard to re-establish the local blood collection service for our members! It finally started in August 2024. A great success!

The year 2023-2024 ended on June 30. This is the time, for the administrators and myself, to present to you the goods and bads of the past year.

You are invited to the annual general meeting which will take place on Friday October 25, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Chalet Bellevue in Morin-Heights. You will find the notice of meeting attached.

An administrator position is open this year and one administrator will be up for election. A profile with legal knowledge, in communication or in organizing community events would be a good addition to our team.

We know a little more about the relevance of perineal rehabilitation before and after childbirth, but there can also be dysfunctions of the pelvic floor without having had a child or several years after childbirth, around menopause or later. in women's lives.

So after 50 years, is it useful to do perineal rehabilitation treatments?
The answer is yes.
Come and learn how perineal rehabilitation can help you regain quality of life by attending this one-hour presentation where Ms. Perrin will explain in detail:

1. How the pelvic floor works

2. What is perineal rehabilitation and the treatments offered

3. The problems targeted: loss of urine or stool, urinary frequency, pain during intercourse, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, organ descent, etc.

Ms. Louise Perrin is a physiotherapist who graduated from McGill University for her bachelor's and master's degrees in rehabilitation. After working in rehabilitation for a few years, she became interested in the treatment of women affected by various dysfunctions of the pelvic floor in order to help them remedy their symptoms and to give them tools to improve their quality of life. Hello, I am an osteopath, graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal (CEOM, 2003). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Laval University (1992). My osteopathic clientele is very diverse but I have a particular interest in pregnant women and newborn care. I also have a specialization in the field of jaw disorders (TMJ).

 
My activity for more than 20 years in the Montreal area has allowed me to acquire a solid and diverse experience. I am always on the lookout for new knowledge and I regularly participate in post-graduate training.

 
I strongly believe in the multidisciplinary approach and I do not hesitate to refer when the problem requires a specific medical assessment and/or the contribution of another complementary discipline (acupuncture, naturopathy, etc.). My sensitive and rigorous approach aims for the fastest possible recovery of the client in a personalized and professional approach.

The Board of Directors wish to thank all Health COOP stakeholders (members, staff, doctors and private and public donors).

Since 2020, the pandemic has been AN EXPERIENCE for everybody These last two years have been charged with emotions, stress, anxiety, revolts, adjustments, change of personnel, changes of procedures... algorithms we have seen several times... even several a day! To go crazy.

But your Coop has stayed the course and is continuing to grow!

The Board of Directors has decided to set the annual contribution at $ 85 including taxes. We therefore respectfully ask all members for their cooperation.
